Last month I was lucky enough to welcome photographer Anya Rice to the studio for my very first photo shoot! She spent a couple of hours on a sunny afternoon snapping away images for her project 'The Home Makers' which sees her travlling around the local area visiting different makers and their workspaces. I was delighted to be a part of it and to get some great images to boot!
I've decided to have a little spring sort out and clear the decks for some fresh new work. This Dot bowl in Apricot is now half price, a bargain at £35 plus £6 P&P. It was my very first piece experimenting with the Dot design, so a prototype with no other quite like it!
It's been a busy week. February has been a somewhat quiet time sales wise so a good opportunity to really get my head down and crack on with making. I've found myself juggling lots of bits and pieces of work at the same time, but I'm enjoying being busy and the making part is the really fun bit so no complaints from me. Here are a few snaps of what I've been up to and you can see that I did manage to sneak out midweek to enjoy a wander in the sunshine. I'm so glad I did as it's definitely not around today.
Check out my Instagram page for more daily pictures.
I am now on Instagram and I have to admit I'm a little bit hooked!! It seems to be making me look at things differently, which is no bad thing as far as I can see and it's great to capture moments in making process so quickly and easily. Click the picture to take you to my page.......I hope the sun is out wherever you are, it's a beautiful day here!!
After a busy few weeks in preparation I'm delighted to say that I have my glass on display in the window of The Guild of Ten in Truro. I was given this exciting opportunity as part of winning their award for Design & Innovation at this years Cornwall Design Fair at Trereife House.
It's been a busy time lately which has left me little time for blogging, but before I get you up to date with what i've been up to I want to introduce you to the very lovely new online shop for the talented Tim Lake and his beautiful ceramics. Click here to take a closer look, it's a real treat!!
Some snaps of a few new pieces I've been working on lately..........I've been really enjoying taking some time to work on a couple of new designs and it's been great to experiment with new motifs. I'm particularly pleased with the 'Dot' design as it's a bit of a departure from my more representational motifs and I think it's quite fun and playful. I've been experimenting with some variations too, pictures of which will follow soon!
